In January 2011, Angela Gillis, along with her husband, decided it was time to lose weight. Angela was really happy with life but decided the one thing she wasn’t happy with was her size. At her heaviest, she weight 340 pounds and she wanted to make the change. In 13 months, Angela lost 158 pounds through a change in lifestyle: being active and eating right. Throughout her journey, Angela fell in love with running and cycling. She has completed many half marathons and is currently training for her first marathon. Angela encourages people who are embarking on their own weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey to take it one day at time and to keep working toward every goal.
