Strawberry-Banana “Ice Cream”

Do you ever have a late night sweet tooth? Don’t derail your diet and all your hard work! This strawberry-banana “ice cream” will do just the trick. Fruits are healthier, natural sources of sugar and have more fiber and water to help fill us up with generally less calories.

Here’s what you need:
1. 2 frozen, chopped bananas
2. 1 cup of frozen, chopped strawberries
(Optional) 1-2 tablespoons of plain nonfat Greek yogurt OR splash of low-fat or nonfat milk
(Optional) sweetener such as Stevia

Servings: 4

How to Prepare:
Chop bananas and strawberries into small pieces and place in food processor. Add optional dairy (still tastes great without it). Begin to puree. *You may need to stop occasionally and stir to break up frozen chunks. Continue to process until desired consistency is reached. Enjoy!

Bananas serve as a great ice-cream like base. This tastes great using just bananas, or blended with peanut butter!Β
