What Are You Afraid Of?

The road to health and fitness is filled with many obstacles including time, resources, or even not knowing where to begin. Living fit and healthy requires lifestyle changes that demand discipline. The biggest obstacle between you and your goals is FEAR.  Excuses are the offspring of fear and negative thoughts; “I don’t have enough time” or “I don’t know what to do” or “I can’t afford it” or even “I had children” are common excuses people who fear putting in hard work, or that goals may never be achieved.

Making permanent lifestyle changes should be viewed as a marathon, not a sprint!  Much of what man has believed to impossible was later proved wrong – which is why footprints exist on the moon! Dare to believe that the healthier and fit lifestyle you dream of is possible.  If your goal is the moon, shoot for the moon and work to make sure your footprints end up on it!

Black Fitness Today’s mission is to close the gap in health and fitness disparities amongst the African American community by providing practical tools and resources to motivate, inspire and achieve optimal health for this generation and beyond.
