Whether on the field, court, track or at work, repetitive movement creates tight muscles, which limit range of motion, cause pain and increase risk of injury. Most pain and non-contact injuries are cause by misaligned fascia and trigger points.
What is Fascia?
Fascia is fibrous connective tissue that connects the structures of the body. It’s similar to tight plastic sandwich wrap. Healthy fascia allows the muscles to change shape as they contract and lengthen. However, if fascia becomes too tight and thickens, it causes pain and can lead to injury.
What are trigger points?
Trigger points are small sections of muscle fibers that are stuck in a contracted state, which creates a number of issues (headaches, neck pain, back pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome symptoms, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis etc.).
